Modern Coastal Transformation in Surfers Paradise
This renovation project focused on transforming a tired, dated unit into a fresh and contemporary coastal retreat. The property had good structure but was showing its age, with arched doorways and a closed-in kitchen that made the space feel small and dark. The goal was to modernise the unit, open up the layout, and create a lighter, brighter atmosphere that reflected the relaxed lifestyle of Surfers Paradise.
The renovation was a full unit overhaul, including the kitchen, bathroom, ensuite and laundry. Hybrid timber-look flooring was laid throughout the living spaces to add warmth and texture, while new carpet in the bedrooms provided comfort and softness underfoot. A clean palette of Dulux “White on White” paint gave the entire unit a crisp and airy feel. Removing the arches and adding a second entryway into the kitchen helped improve flow and gave the apartment a more open-plan, connected layout.
The kitchen became the hero of the renovation, featuring Polytec Moss Grey matte cabinetry paired with Rossa Nova benchtops and Mica brushed nickel fittings. Bosch appliances completed the look, bringing functionality and style together. Bathrooms echoed the same elegant simplicity with gloss white round basins and brushed nickel tapware. Lighting from Beacon, including statement pendants above the benchtop and subtle LED fittings, created the perfect blend of ambience and practicality.
The result was a stunning coastal-inspired home that feels bright, modern and welcoming. Seeing the genuine delight from the owners at handover was the highlight of the project, a true reflection of the care, planning and craftsmanship that went into every detail.
