Our Simple 3 Step Renovation Process
Rather than separately employing the services of an architect, engineer and building company, we manage the entire process, including gaining appropriate building consents, from start to finish for you.
- Design: This is where we sit and talk with you, listen and understand what you want and need in your renovation. From no idea of what you want, to a design scribbled on a napkin, we can help. We create concept drawings and ensure you are happy with the design, and that the work will be within your budget.
- Plan: We complete all architectural and design plans and engineers drawings, plus all council and city approvals. We also map out your renovation construction schedule to fit around you and your lifestyle.
- Construct: This is where the fun begins as our team of expert builders and tradespeople bring your dreams to life. With one point of contact throughout the entire renovation process, you will be kept up to date.
Christchurch is the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand and the seat of the Canterbury Region. The Christchurch urban area lies on the South Island’s east coast, just north of Banks Peninsula. The urban area is home to 377,200 residents,[2] and the territorial authority has 385,500 people,[2] which makes it the second-most populous city in New Zealand after Auckland and before Wellington.
Christchurch sits at the heart of arguably the most diverse and exciting island in the world. Within reach of the city are mountains and ski fields, beaches and endless coastlines, lush pastures and rolling hills. And, is a city of modern architecture, a rejuvenated urban centre filled with boutique laneways, fresh hospitality and hidden gems.
Agriculture is the historic mainstay of Christchurch’s economy. The early presence of the University of Canterbury and the heritage of the city’s academic institutions in association with local businesses has fostered a number of technology-based industries. Christchurch is one of five ‘gateway cities’ for Antarctic exploration, hosting Antarctic support bases for several nations.
The city suffered a series of earthquakes between September 2010 and January 2012, with the most destructive of them occurring at 12.51 p.m. on Tuesday, 22 February 2011, in which 185 people were killed and thousands of buildings across the city collapsed or suffered severe damage. By late 2013, 1,500 buildings in the city had been demolished, leading to an ongoing recovery and rebuilding project.
Our services range from the largest highly complex architectural projects to simple makeovers and room updates including:
- Bathroom makeovers
- New kitchen design and installation
- Earthquake repairs including structural work
- Adding another level
- Removing walls to create a more open plan living space
- Adding rooms to the house
- Outdoor living areas
- Recladding and Leaky Home Repairs
- Adding or converting a garage or sleep out
- Retail shop fit-outs and light commercial work.
These services are provided across the entire area of Christchurch. As locals we understand the council requirements, ground and weather conditions to perfectly design and build your next renovation or extension.
