Let Us Take You To The Hamptons

We may be across the world from the affluent seaside community, but that hasn’t stopped us from drawing inspiration from the famous Hamptons style housing. In fact, as the style becomes increasingly popular, our team is completing more and more projects with the Hamptons in mind.

So, what is ‘Hamptons’ style?

Hamptons style represents relaxed and elegant coastal living. Think neutral and ocean inspired colours like white, grey, muted beige tones and blue; wide open spaces flooded with natural light; high ceilings and timber floors; decorative mouldings and panelling; and big, comfortable furnishings.

Here is a room-by-room guide of how we have brought the Hamptons style into some of our projects:

Exterior

• Weatherboard
  
  No feature is more Hamptons-esque than a weatherboard exterior, like on this home.

• Colour
  
  True to Hamptons style, the exterior colour palette of this home is predominantly grey and white.

• Doors and Windows
  
  French doors, large windows and intricate mouldings on the frames not only give this home that sought-after Hamptons look, but also enhance the light in the interior of the home.

• Balustrades and columns
  
  The white, square-shaped balustrades and columns on this home emphasise the traditional elements of Hamptons style homes.

Kitchen

The epitome of classic yet casual, this Hamptons inspired kitchen showcases key features of the style, including:

• Colour
  
  Here, typical to Hamptons style, white is the colour of choice. The sandy-coloured porcelain splashback and navy-blue island also reinforce the coastal theme

• Space and light
  
  The high-ceilings and natural light in this kitchen are defining characteristics of the style. The oversized pendants further emphasise these features.

• Cabinetry
  
  Hallmarks of the Hamptons style, this kitchen features simple white cabinetry, a spacious island bench and beautiful Caesarstone benchtops.

• Decor
  Plush, navy towels add warmth and dimension to the room, making it easy to relax and unwind.

The Hamptons theme is prominent in this outdoor area, thanks to features including:

  White paint and cladding create the foundations for the Hamptons style in this outdoor area.

• Space and light
  
  It is light, bright and open thanks to the high ceiling, glass fencing and pendant lights.
  
   
• Comfortable furnishings
  
  Key elements of the Hamptons style, accents of colour and texture have been added to this space through soft furnishings and greenery. The soft furnishings also accommodate the Hamptons easy living and entertaining qualities.
