Mundie – Extension
Our clients approached us with a dream of transforming their beloved family home into their forever home. Utilising our comprehensive Design, Plan, Construct process, we embarked on a remarkable journey to bring their vision to life.
Our clients envisioned a modern update that would enhance their living experience. We set out to extend the family room, convert the existing rumpus room into a fourth bedroom, and overhaul the kitchen and laundry. Additionally, we created a large walk-in linen cupboard and added a stylish alfresco area to complete the transformation.
One of the standout elements of this project was our approach to the flooring. We removed the old ceramic tiles and polished the underlying concrete, giving the space a sleek and modern finish. Two feature walls made from recycled bricks added character and warmth to the home, one of which included a gas log fireplace. The raked ceiling, complemented by two large skylights, brought in ample natural light, while a strategically placed window above the stacker door created a sense of spaciousness by connecting the indoor area with the alfresco.
The design of the extension embraced a modern industrial style, marked by polished concrete floors and striking recycled brick accents. This style was chosen to provide a fresh, contemporary contrast to the existing structure while maintaining an overall cohesive look.
