    Since starting in the industry in 1976, Paul has built an impressive career that began in building materials sales before progressing through marketing, middle management, and senior leadership roles. His passion for helping homeowners eventually led him to transition into building and building design.

    Paul's expertise lies in building design, sales, and marketing, with a particular passion for creating thoughtful design solutions that meet each client's unique needs. He finds immense satisfaction in taking a project from concept to completion, solving challenges along the way, and seeing the finished result come to life.

    For Paul, building is about more than constructing homes - it's about creating spaces that enhance the way people live. His experience, combined with a genuine commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes, allows him to guide clients with confidence throughout the building journey.

    Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their two adult children. His career began as an apprentice carpenter with his father's building firm, where he gained a strong foundation in the trade before establishing his own successful building business in the early 1990s. Twelve years ago, Brett joined the Smith & Sons team, bringing his expertise to the Hornsby/Turramurra franchise.

    Today, Brett's focus is on leading the business and overseeing projects from concept to completion. Drawing on decades of hands-on building experience, he provides strategic direction, financial management, planning, and quality control, ensuring every renovation and extension is delivered to the highest standard.

    Brett's passion for building comes from seeing a vision become reality. He enjoys transforming ideas and plans into beautifully finished homes and finds great satisfaction in helping clients achieve their dream spaces. Equally rewarding is mentoring the next generation of builders, watching apprentices develop their skills and grow into confident leaders within the industry.

    Outside of work, Brett and his wife Fiona work together in the business and enjoy travelling and taking on adventure sports in their spare time. He also enjoys outdoor activities and sport, which provide a welcome balance to the demands of running a busy business.
