    Owner/Builder

    Ben Geertsema is the director of Smith & Sons Renovations & Extensions Fraser Coast and has spent more than 22 years in the building industry. He started as a glazier straight out of school, then moved into carpentry and building. Today, he is an experienced professional in everything from bathrooms and extensions to structural insulated panel homes and modular builds.
    Becoming a builder was a lifelong goal for Ben. He enjoys the process of turning someone’s house into a better space, something more functional, more comfortable, and more enjoyable to live in.
    Outside of work, Ben is all about the outdoors. He enjoys camping, fishing, riding motorbikes, and four-wheel driving with his family. That balance between hard work and a great lifestyle is exactly what he aims to bring to his business and to every renovation he delivers.
    With a strong background in both traditional and modern building methods, Ben offers clients the confidence of working with a builder who knows the local area, understands what works, and genuinely cares about getting it right.
